A review of the ScaleTrains.com HO Scale CSX SD40-3 locomotive, one of the newest model railroad items on the block!

I got #4026 from them.

The engine maintains the high level of detail we've come to expect from them, as well as an excellent sound quality. However, there was a little bug when the engine arrived on my doorstep, and I noticed that some of the ESU Loksound soundfiles seemed to be off. Fortunately, I can and will fix it with a lokprogrammer.

The SD40-3 is one of CSX's mainline freight locomotives, and likely one of only two large EMD models they will retain under their new management.
