BACKGROUND OF HIMAQATEIN:
When the Joy of of Urdu Worldwide Reading Group Initiative began in 2013, the idea was to provide a space for people to practice reading Urdu.

After COVID, while we pivoted fairly soon to our digital platform, many of our members around the world missed being able to read along in a group. "Dr Arfa Sayeda Aur Zarminae ki Himaqatein" began as an informal, weekly session, where we try to provide the reading material in advance.
