Pati Family Reunion 2024: Day 1 in Orcas, WA (Opening Ceremony)

7 uncles and aunties, 27 cousins, and countless grandchildren. There is no shortage of love in this photo. Grandma and Grandpa's sacrifice moving from Samoa to the Mainland reaps rewards reflected through generations upon generations.

family means the world. we spent the last 7 days together eating, telling stories, playing games and making memories together for the next generation.

I always had the best memories as a kid doing special activities and having slumber parties with the cousins. Now creating those memories for the great grandchildren of the family is unmatched.

Uncle Fua and his family are the Chefs for today. They made delicious lomi lomi salmon, fish, butter mochi and everything you can imagine to make our first night extra special. They went right to work when we arrived and we are grateful for it.

After over a year of planning with the aunties, we are so grateful for our large happy and healthy family.

I know Grandpa is smiling down from heaven looking at the life he’s created with Grandma🫶
