Translucent Rock Tester / Flashlight Cover

Hello Friends. I recently bought a 5000 lumen flashlight for night use when walking. I recently had a coyote encounter at night, where the critter did not run off, and I needed a brighter flashlight. This flashlight works great when walking and looking for rocks too. But when trying to bring a rock close, to check for translucency, it’s annoying to have that bright light shine directly in one’s eyes. So I made up this simple gadget using a small jelly jar and a piece of gasket material from the local hardware store. This is easy on the eyes when walking outside at night (when looking at rocks up close) and also protects the lens from getting scratched by rocks. Simple, but effective!
