Back in the 90's someone gave me a cassette tape with SRV written on one side, told me "Listen to this!" . I had no idea what SRV means, there were no other hints, it was a copy of a copy. I'm not even sure if it was SRV on both sides, but I became absolutely obsessed with a short instrumental and I've literally destroyed both the tape and the tape player over the next few months by playing, pausing and rewinding, trying to find the notes. I

knew nothing about music theory back then, didn't even know the most basic things like Pentatonic Box #1 or anything like that, I was just hunting for the right notes. Later I found out what SRV means, and tried multiple times to find this song, but never found it again!

Last night I was watching Kill Bill on Netflix, and had to take a call right after the scene where Beatrix Kiddo wakes up from a comma after being bitten by a mosquito. Then decided to make a tea, and grabbed the guitar while waiting, and just like that, out of the blue, I start playing this song, which I haven't played in at least 20 years and totally forgot that I even knew it!

Can't really play it yet, need to work on it and remember the rest of it, the original was much faster, too.

I'm sure there must be lots of SRV fans here, has anybody ever heard this before, is it even SRV? How do I find the original recording, can Shazam or AI help maybe?
