The Science Explorer (SciX), funded by NASA, expands the NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) by integrating literature across Astrophysics, Planetary Science, Heliophysics, Earth Science, and Biological and Physical Sciences. Utilizing advanced semantic technologies and knowledge graphs, SciX improves the discoverability of the Earth and space science research ecosystem, fostering innovative research and collaboration. Specific to planetary science, SciX plans to integrate with the Solar system Open Database Network (SsODNet) to tag planetary objects effectively. Ongoing efforts include using named entity recognition to tag planetary feature names and planetary missions in scholarly papers. Additionally, the development of an enhanced public library interface will enable more streamlined searching and sharing of libraries within the system. The SciX platform is continuing to grow through ongoing enhancements via machine learning and natural language processing enhancing search capabilities and curation efforts to enhance the content accessible within the system. The SciX Ambassadors program enhances these initiatives, promoting open science and interdisciplinary collaboration across the communities SciX supports.
