Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
Fold in the chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.
Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
