Schnellboote sind kleine Kriegsschiffe, das von Verbrennungsmotoren angetrieben werdn und hohe Geschwindigkeiten erreichen können. Die Entwicklung des Schnellbootes geht auf die Zeit des Ersten Weltkriegs zurück, als Großbritannien, Italien und Deutschland jeweils kleine bewaffnete Boote entwickelten.
Die Schnellbootflottille (SFltl) war ein Großverband der Deutschen Marine. Sie wurde 1957 als Kommando der Schnellboote aufgestellt und 2006 aufgelöst. Boote der SFltl nahmen an mehreren Auslandseinsätzen der Marine teil.

Die grau angestrichenen Schnellboote der Gepard, Alabtros oder Zobel Klasse. Die “Siebte S. Flottille” ist das ehemalige 7. Schnellbootgeschwader der Bundesmarine

In der Viktor* gehen wir ran

Viktor = das Fahren von Schnellbooten in einer Pfeil-Förmigen Formation (wie ein umgedrehtes V)
** Kommando zur Fahrtgeschwindigkeit. Es gab einfache Allez-Fahrt (Kommando "Alle Allez"), die nächstschnellere Geschwindigkeit war "Zwomal Alle Allez", danach folgte Äusserste Kraft (AK). AK wurde nur im Notfall benutzt weil es eine enorme Belastung der Motoren war (mußte bei der Bundesmarine ins Schiffstagebuch eingetragen werden). Allez-Fahrt: Fahren mit der höchstmöglichen Dauerlastdrehzahl der Motoren. Anders als bei AK (äusserste Kraft) werden dabei die Sicherheitsschaltungen nicht deaktiviert.
*** Ist auf die Erhöhung der Drehzahl des Motors bezogen. Durch diese Erhöhung kommt man näher an das feindliche Schiff heran da sich die Fahrtgeschwindigkeit des eigenen Schiffes erhöht.


"Klar zum Manöver" war die Losung

"Leinen los" das war die Antwort
Und mit Volldampf ging es fort

Viktor = driving speed boats in an arrow-shaped formation (like an upside-down V)
** Command for driving speed. There was a single Allez ride (command "Alle Allez"), the next fastest speed was "Zwomal Alle Allez", followed by Extreme Force (AK).
