Also known as The 90th Birthday. While a British play, it is a German tradition to watch it on New Years Eve every year since about 1963. I downloaded this copy from YouTube a few years ago. Originally this was introduced in German and as the lines are few it is very easy to follow if you didn't speak any English....'same procedure as every year James' is the tag line. Miss Sophie has outlived her friends by over 25 years but she still has them 'over' for dinner on her birthday. Her butler, James, fills in for each missing person toasting and drinking in their place. By the end, well, watch and see what happens to James. Enjoy and Happy new Year!
