Katja Liebal (Universität Leipzig) - “Comparative Approach to Human Cognition: Possibilities and Challenges”

Professor Liebal tries to understand what makes humans unique by comparing our psychology with nonhuman primates. In this talk, she shares her expertise about the challenges and ethical considerations in studying cognitive skills in these species.

Katja Liebal is the director of the LeipzigLab and head of the Human Biology and Primate Cognition group at Leipzig University. Her cross-species, cross-cultural approach leads to fascinating insights on cognitive and communicative skills of humans and other primates. Watch her presentation at Science of Intelligence (SCIoI) which took place as part of Nicolas Roth's and Benjamin Lang's seminar "Communicating Hot Topics in Intelligence Research".

Distinguished Speaker Series is a platform where our distinguished guests explore the many facets of intelligence and offer SCIoI and external audiences the opportunity to meet and learn from their groundbreaking involvement in intelligence research.
