Director of Product John Palmer and Product Manager Joe Mazza delve deeper into the Broadkaster line. Starting with its manufacture in Ridgeland, South Carolina, Mazza and Palmer discuss how Broadkaster pulls elements from and fits in with Gretsch’s USA Custom and Brooklyn series drums.

Modeling the new Broadkaster on the vibrant sound of a 1947 kit that Gretsch restored, the new kits give a nod back to original specs while moving forward with a vintage vibe and modern drum set playability. The new Broadkaster gives today’s players the opportunity to get as close to experiencing owning and playing a vintage kit as Gretsch could possibly give them.

Mark Guliana demonstrates and talks about two Broadkaster kits: Satin Copper Lacquer Finish with Standard Hardware (BK-J404V-SCP) and Antique Pearl Nitron Finish Kit with Vintage Hardware (BK-R444). He says that while playing he “felt the articulation and tension of each musical choice; the drums deliver clarity in the busier moments.”
