Ryde is an English town on the north-east coast of Isle of Wight. It's located about 7 miles from Newport, the main town of the island. The bus station is part of the Ryde Transport Interchange. It's located on the Esplanade in front of the railway station and hoverport. This informative film record begins in May 2022, just before the bus station closed for a major redevelopment. It partially reopened on Tuesday May 9th 2023 with work still to be completed. It is leased to and operated by Southern Vectis, the main bus operator of the island. The new bus station provides a better environment for bus users making it easier and safer for vehicles to manoeuvre.
