SmartReview.com attended the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago, IL (IHHS Show) to preview the best new blenders and kitchen appliances.

Blendtec presented its top of the line , best consumer blender, The Professional 800 which is a quiet blender. The Pro 800 is unique in that it has a sound enclosure that goes over the blender and deadens the sound, making it the quietest blender available. It is said to be the World's Quietest Blender.

The touch responsive controls look great, and give added functionality. The Pro 800 has a 10 year home warranty, 11 speeds, preset functions to make smoothies and other drinks and soups, a preset cleaning cycle to clean the jar after use, and direct drive 3.8 HP motor. Blendtec uses a unique blunt wingtip blade that smashes and liquefies ingredients. Blendtec also has a commercial version of this model called the Stealth 875, another quiet blender. These models are installed at Jamba Juice smoothie stores, nationwide.
