Motorcycling on Indian Mountains | Spiti Valley | Kaza to Sissu | 14 mins | POV

This day, we were on our final leg of the Spiti route. We started from Kaza early in the morning and took the old route through Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary to reach Losar through the Kibber Village and over the Chicham Bridge. After Losar, the road became really bad all the while till Gramphu. Enroute we crossed Kunzum Pass, Chacha Chachi Dhaba in Batal, Pagal Nala, Chattru. After Batal, we were literally riding on the river bed for kilometres till we started climbing again to reach Chattru. We had lunch in Chattru and moved on towards Gramphu. The roads were magically good after Gramphu all the way to Sissu, where we ended the day.

I was tentative about starting at Kaza because two of us could not refuel the previous evening as we had parted ways from the group in search of an ATM and ventured into Kaza City. By the time we reached the only fueling station in Kaza, they had lost the internet link with the IOCL server, and so even after having adequate fuel in stock, they could not start the machines. Nevertheless, the bike did not give me any issue with fuel as the distance we covered was about 180 kilometres, and I was getting fantastic fuel range at that high altitude.
