When it comes to planning children’s birthday parties, it’s not uncommon to hire a performer to keep the little ones entertained.


But while go-to hired talents include magicians and singers, one couple decided to be unconventional with their choice and really give their daughter and her friends something to remember – by hiring Bigfoot.

The parents took to TikTok to reveal they accidentally made their six-year-old daughter scream in terror when the hairy monster arrived at her party wearing a tutu and holding a bunch of balloons.

The girl’s mother, Brett, and her husband posted a video which showed moment their daughter and her friends saw the person dressed as the beast lurking at the window, sparking ever child to scream and cry in fear.

Brett wrote on the video: “That one time we hired Bigfoot Schenanigans to surprise our sweet girl for her birthday party and it went epically wrong!”

The video quickly went viral, and people can’t get enough of the hilarious clip – even if the poor children have been left “traumatised” and needing therapy.

One wrote: “ALL of those kids are going to need therapy.”

While another added: “I could watch this all day. So funny.”

And a third said: “Can you say traumatised kids. I would do it too!”

Brett later spoke to local news station 2 News Oklahoma about the video, and said she had hoped inviting Bigfoot – who is actually named Cinnamon – to the party would be “cute and fun”.

She said: "We just thought, I mean she came with balloons and a bow and a tutu, so I thought 'oh this will be cute and fun’.

"Well my kids did not have that reaction."

Although the children were clearly terrified of the intruder at their party, they eventually calmed down once the adults in attendance showed them there was nothing to be scared of.

Pictures at the end of the clip even showed the birthday girl giving Bigfoot a hug.


Brett added: "I would just recommend it for a good time because obviously by the video my kids thought so too.

“But they don’t want her to come back though."

And now, people are looking to hire the hairy creature to terrify their own children.

One TikTok user asked: “Where do I hire this for getting my kids to straighten up?!”

And a second said: “Mean! Totally something I would have done to my kids!”

While another laughed and wrote: “All you parents who said they'd do this ... you're my kinda people. I laughed so hard I may have peed a little.”
