Thank you Brandice Daniel for not only creating Harlem’s Fashion Row but for being a devoted steward & NEVER wavering from the mission to uplift, showcase & SUPPORT (creatively & most importantly FINANCIALLY) Black Fashion Designers.

Kudos to the amazing & innovative designers featured last night, all from Haiti, sak pase, I’ll tell you what’s up support LaTouché, Atelier Ndigo, and Daveed Baptiste.

You did your big one last night, honoring my baby Nikki Ogunnaike, my salty but sweet Jason Bolden, the gracious Christine Pendarvis, the icon Ruth E. Carter, introduced by the legendary fashion designer Ann Lowe granddaughter & last but not least ‪@Usher‬ who looked amazing & stayed the entire time, fully present & engaged like all the honorees, class acts!

Speaking of class acts, thank you Sherrese Aisha Clarke & Lucinda Martinez for having me as your guest at the HarbourView Equity table

I was so emotional last night, in the program I was acknowledged twice, once because in 2012 I hosted a Dinner With Bevy for Harlem’s Fashion Row & in 2015 I was honored as a Trailblazer

I don’t go in for a whole bunch of awards, but this one means something because what Brandice has built & continues to build means something, especially in this era!
