|| Kousar Nag || Journey Towards The Sacred Lake ||

The Kousar Nag is the famous lake is situated in the Pir Panjal range of twin districts of south Kashmir, Kulgam & Shopian at a height of 3,962.4 metres (13,000 ft) above sea level. It is about 5 Kms long and 3 Kms wide and is the source of river Vishav. Its blue, rippling water reflects the lofty snowy speaks surrounding the spring. Every year, thousands of trekkers make the grueling trek across the rough mountain terrain. The trek is via the famous waterfall of Aharbal.
