With nearly 1 in 41 children in New Jersey diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, St. Joseph’s Health recognizes the need to provide answers and support for these children and their families.

Early detection can make a difference in a child’s treatment and social integration. Treatment at the Binder Autism Center at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, in Paterson NJ, begins with our expert clinical staff evaluating and diagnosing children with Autism. Once the diagnosis is made, the program continues with individual sessions, support groups, skill groups, educational seminars and social activities.

The program is designed to care for the entire family, with a team that includes a neurodevelopmental pediatrician, child and adolescent psychologist, child psychiatrist, behaviorist, and licensed social worker who will use a variety of techniques throughout the program.
