Biking Abandoned PA Turnpike

In late July, 2019, I traveled to Breezewood, Pennsylvania, to bike a stretch of the abandoned PA Turnpike. In 1968, the PA Turnpike was re-routed, and a 13 mile section of the highway was left completely abandoned, including two tunnels. Today, the abandoned highway is technically closed to the public, but the area is signed "Enter at your own risk." The post-apocalyptic feel of the abandoned road makes for a very interesting visit.
