Описание к видео Sree & Karthikeya | Telugu | South Indian | Banff Destination Wedding Highlights | Tunnel Mountain

We both have a thing in common where we would love to put in the work ourselves with least amount of support in any adventure. Guess that’s our path to liberation. Wedding is a grand adventure in itself and that’s how we chose it to be.
Once we decided to tie the knot, it was a matter of time. We had 2 weeks at hand to reserve the venue in the Canadian Rockies which aligns with the auspicious date set by the dualistic gods. In front of us, we had tons of work with very little time.

From, booking the venue & hotels, to arranging the decor, to finalizing the photography & videography, to sending out the invitations, to negotiating the makeup styles and to choosing the wedding dress; it was all a blur. Though we wanted the process and the final event to be as simple as possible, it did spill above and beyond our expectations.

We still remember phoning few people asking their calendar availability two weeks prior to our wedding and all the dates we received was for a year or two later. Only then we realized some people do plan their wedding for two long years. That would absolutely kill the adventure for us.

Though we breathed a sigh of relief that everything was aligned pre-wedding, there was a voice in the back of our minds… how can things go exactly as planned when there is no way for us to know what will happen until we put the plan into action.

Special thanks to our friends Navya and Bharath, who answered our calls late into the night and arranged the stuff needed for rituals. But was everything used appropriately as needed? That’s a question you should never ask.

A day before the weeding, while we were going through the challenge of preparing the provisions, we received a call from our photographer asking if we had an alternative indoor venue booked. Apparently it was supposed to rain during our wedding. Knowing that mountain weather is unpredictable, thanks to the years spent in the mountains, we immediately checked the forecast for Tunnel Mountain and Rundle Mountain. There was no rain in the am but was due in the pm. So, we convinced the team not to worry placing all our bets on the Mountain Weather Forecast. It was in fact reliable and did pour on us after the wedding. Pro Tip: never trust apple weather in the mountains. You have to be more specific.

The final challenge was to complete the whole wedding process including decor setup, wedding rituals and decor removal in 1.5 hours. Somehow we pulled it off. Guess it was a speed record for the priest.

This is the story of our adventure wedding.
