Kampung Melangkap is my birth place. This is very beautiful village. Since, Earthquake struck Gunung Kinabalu in 2015 ago, its changed the face of the river in the area. The tragedy also affected the villagers who grew crops near the river. Floodwaters changed Melangkap’s landscape, and the land is no longer fertile, covered with rocks that fell from the mountains. Today, the rocky wilderness is being developed as a family vacation spot. Gunung Kinabalu view is visible from here.
