This 1969 film "Man Against Fire" was made by the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service tells "the story of man's fight to save forest resources from destruction by wildfire." The film begins with a look at smokejumpers, who parachute out of airplanes in remote areas to put out fires early on. After this, it shows the Forest Service and law enforcement cooperating to catch an arsonist. The film ends by showing Forest Service firefighters working against an out-of-control fire, which takes them several days to bring under control.
