Extra tips:
Make sure you consider the main view that is seen from your patio door as well as any external windows leading to the backyard.
Make sure the artificial grass is shaped and not in large sections which could lean more to a 'golf course' look.
Try to incorporate the whole yard as being able to walk barefoot. Keep stepping stones, bamboo planks, or plastic decking afoot throughout your walking experience.
When planting faux plants make sure the base does not absorb water or allow for standing water.
Allow for both ambient lighting to bathe over your tropical look all night long, as well as brighter functional lights for entertaining.
