I comment on my game against Ogaki Yusaku 9P
Black: Michael Redmond 9P
White: Ogaki Yusaku 9P
Kiriyama Cup
March 22, 2021

Ogaki Yusaku 9P is a player who has been in final sections of maybe all the Japanese tournaments, and made 600 tournament wins in 2018, so with our ages beintg fairly close, I would say his record as a tournament pro was similar to mine. I have played him a number of times in the past, and usually find him to be a difficult opponent.

The Kiriyama Cup starts with A, B, and C elimination tournaments, with C being the first, B being the next stage, and A being the last, but with one more preliminary section after that before a final tournament of 16 players. It is one game matches to the end with no waiting champion. Each of the preliminary sections has 2 or 3 rounds.
