🔸 Day 1: Nahay-Khay – The ritual bath and preparation.
🔸 Day 2: Kharcha – Mothers observe the toughest nirjala fast, not drinking even a drop of water, with faith that their children will be blessed forever.
🔸 Day 3: Paran – The fast is broken with special dishes like Kadhi-chawal, saag, and marua.

This tradition is linked to the legend of Jimutavahana, a celestial king who sacrificed himself for others.
Jiutia is a living proof of a mother’s sacrifice and blessings.
