What A Friend We Have In Jesus!
John 15: 12 - 15

N. W. defined the word “friend” as a person attached to another by affection, esteem, or regard; a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection (typically exclusive of sexual or family relations);

How do you become or obtain a “friend”? (The bible gives the solution:)

-Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: And there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” (What a friend we have in Jesus!!)

*WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU CALL YOUR FRIEND! (Especially church folks!)

**You can’t tell folks all of your business! (Those folks who come to you saying: “I promise I won’t tell…” or “It’s just between you and me…” The prophet Micah said in Micah 7:5, “Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.” In other words, ANYBODY can let you down!! That means that we have to be careful with what we tell our “best” friends and even our spouses!
(BUT what a friend we have in Jesus!!)

-David said in Psalm 55:12-14, “For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.”
