The NEW San Antonio Zoo Train - 9/17/2021

Back in 2021, I had the opportunity to film the unloading and first runs of the C.W.T. Express, AKA the NEW San Antonio Zoo train.

I also caught a few shots of one of the now nonoperational C.P. Huntington trains.

I was given permission to film here, so don't assume you will be given the same privilege.

A few months later I would begin working for the zoo for about a year and a half, including working as the lead for the train.

I have to say, while I like these trains, it was more fun to drive the old trains (Lukey J, Henckell Express and Mary Barrett).

The red engine you see running on this day is the Mary Barrett, and she is the engine they have on display in front of the depot.
