The SBS was further tasked to conduct a hostage rescue mission to free the captain. The SBS conducted OTB to insert their security team, the were dropped off by boats and tactically swam to land. Once in position the assault team was inserted with a helicopter by fast roping. The SBS assaulted the pirates and rescued the captain. During withdrawal the SBS fought off the enemy’s quick response force and requested for a hot extraction. This was done with a boat while a helicopter provided cover fire.
