David Lloyd winning the vote in Hertfordshire's first Police and Crime Commissioners election - David was just short of the 50% count required to not need the second preference. As these were counted and announced David won all 10 of the voting Districts in Hertfordshire.

David beat Labour candidate and Stevenage councillor Sherman Batson by 65,585 votes to 42,830 after second preferences were taken into account.

David Lloyd (Con) -- 54,686 (10,899 second preference) 54,686 + 10,899 = 65,685
Sherma Batson (Lab) -- 34,528 (8,302 second preference) 34,528 + 8,302 = 42,830
Christopher Townsend (Lib Dem) -- 16,790
Marion Mason (UKIP) -- 13,154
Overall turnout: 122,976 -- 14.2 per cent
Stevenage turnout: 12,932 -- 20.1 per cent
North Herts turnout: 16,424 -- 16.8 per cent
First round spoilt ballots: 3,797 -- 3.1 per cent
