A REFRESHER on TRIGONOMETRY | Machining Math Fundamentals

Описание к видео A REFRESHER on TRIGONOMETRY | Machining Math Fundamentals

In this video, Marc from ‪@GCodeTutor‬ gives us a refresher lesson on machine shop math. Today we look at the basics of Trigonometry.

We start by looking at naming each part of a right-angle triangle. While the hypotenuse always remains the same, the other two lengths change depending on what known data we have and what part of the triangle is currently unknown to us.

Once the lengths have been identified we can then work out which one of the three trigonometric equations we need to solve the triangle. There are many ways to remember the order of equations, from Soh-Cah-Toa or remembering phrases such as 'Some Old Hands Can Always Have Time Off Anywhen' and many others that we discuss.
