Mommy & Me: STEAM Lab

Science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) represents the direction of 21st-century education. The principles of STEAM - critical thinking, problem solving, asking good questions, observation, and exploration are truly at the heart of every discipline.

This summer, we’re excited to bring a new class to Raising Astoria - Mommy & Me: STEAM Lab. These open lab sessions aim to nurture the little budding scientist within each child; Kids who love nature and animals, inventing and tinkering, designing and creating, or experimenting and analyzing.

Young children will explore a variety of fun, age-appropriate hands-on, inquiry-based activities, experiments, and challenges.

Each session will be led by two highly qualified educators, Jennifer Doran, is a biologist, science educator and the founder of the little wonder lab and Connie Hau, is a licensed pediatric occupational therapist specializing in child development.

The following STEAM topics will be covered:
• Lab science
• Kitchen chemistry
• Nature study
• Planet Earth
• Engineering
• Art & Science

Recommended for ages 2-5
Drop-in $30/class
Five-Week Package $125 ($25/class)
Every Friday from 11:30-12:14pm (45 minutes)
