Outdoor Movie Theater's are becoming increasingly popular in the Outdoor Living Space. You can either setup and install a professional built in Outdoor Movie Theater with drop down movie screen and built in Outdoor Projector. Or you can build your backyard movie theater as more of a DIY setup. I feature both the Built in professional Outdoor Movie Theater setup and the DIY Outdoor Movie Theater setup in this video. I also feature a Dive in Movie theater setup for watching movies while in the swimming pool.
An important thing to remember as you are planning your Back Yard Movie setup is sound. Speakers are very important to make sure you can hear the movie from all sides. The setup that I have at my home is Sonos Speakers. I use the Sonos Sound bar and link that with an optical cable to the Movie Projector. The Sonos sound bar allows me now to link to Sonos One speakers throughout my landscape. Now we have quality sound from all angles. My one caution is being a little careful not to blast the Outdoor Movie Sound to loud as we have had the police make a visit one time to let us know to turn down the sound on the backyard movie. There are other sound options that I show off in this video which are built in. If you go with the built in outdoor movie theater setup please make sure you get an outdoor rated movie projector and outdoor rated speakers for your backyard movie night.
I absolutely love being in my backyard space watching movies with my friends and family. I just love those evenings and I always take a moment and just look around and take it all in. Building these memories for your kids, watching them having fun being outside is the best. I also love watching a good outdoor movie and looking up at the stars and just soaking it all in. These are the best summer nights and I truly think that every family should experience an Outdoor Movie Night.
Really you can do an Outdoor Movie night on any budget. You could even use a bed sheet as a movie screen. You do not necessarily need an Outdoor Rated Movie Projector. I use an indoor projector for my Outdoor Movie Theater and just bring it outside when we want to do and Outdoor Movie night. Backyard Movie Projectors are becoming less expensive and you can find one at any budget level.
