Sakhi (true story) of Guru Amar Das Ji's Seva | Sri Damdama Sahib | Historical

Bhai Harman Singh travels to Sri Damdama Sahib (Sri Khadur Sahib), where we learn about Guru Amar Das Ji's amazing service and devotion for their Guru, Guru Angad Dev Ji.

A famous true story in Sikh history is when Guru Amar Das Ji (Baba Amar Das Ji at the time) would do Gagar Seva; this is when a humble servant of the Guru would retrieve water from a river for the Guru to bathe with.

Guru Amar Das Ji would walk backwards some 10km in the early hours of the morning to carry out this amazing service; on Their way back, they would arrive at a tree near a pond where they would rest before completing the journey. Today this place is known as Sri Damdama Sahib (Sri Khadur Sahib).

Note: this is not Takht Sri Damdama Sahib but another historical Gurdwara.
