Disadvantages of Outsourcing Web Development Abroad

I used to outsource to different countries quite a bit. It seems the areas where it was helpful have all but evaporated. I used to use virtual assistants for proofing. Now with Grammarly, I need much less proofing. I also used to use virtual assistants for transcription. YouTube and Facebook speech recognition is pretty awesome these days and sometimes better than a human.

This video comes from a perspective of someone living in the United States. The following are the reasons I argue not to outsource web development work.

1) timezone differences
2) some areas simply lead certain industries
3) legal issues and exchange rates
4) language
5) industry terminology and culture
6) quality of work
