The appearance of Jesus Christ is depicted differently in various regions of the world. Yet there is no clear evidence for the true physical appearance of Jesus. Even in the Bible, only one single passage contains information about the appearance of Jesus. Scientific studies have been carried out claiming that most of today's depictions are inaccurate. Given that Jesus was born in the Middle Eastern city of Bethlehem, reconstructions estimate that he had black hair and a dark skin colour.
