2AM's Jo Kwon has spoken up yet again against negative comments regarding his drag role in the musical, "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert".

Previously, Jo Kwon uploaded a response to negative comments for his role as a gay male in the musical on his personal Instagram, in which he expressed that the close-minded comments of some people had saddened him, however it would not stop him being committed to his role.

This time, on the 8th of July, Jo Kwon updated a series of tweets responding to more negative comments he had received upon taking up the role.

He wrote:

"I performed Madonna's "Material Girl" at a press call for the musical even though I could have avoided it. A lot of photos for articles were uploaded online and I heard they have a lot of mean comments on them. I'm writing this up so as to help those people understand.

If you just look at the poster or some pictures, you might think it's just a 'gay show'. But our musical "Priscilla" is not just a musical in the perspective of a homosexual or transgender, it is a genuine musical that deals with family, friendship, love, parental love and emotion.

I just wanted to show everyone the talent and skills that I have and utilize them. As of now, some people might still look at it in a negative way. So I want to exceed my limits by doing better.

It's a little difficult because I have a job that is prone to being judged just by first glance, but this is the road I have chosen and I will endeavor to be responsible for it. But if I read mean comments or bad news, it isn't as psychologically easy.

Just come and watch the performance. Don't think of anything and please watch what "Priscilla" is all about with a clean slate. "Priscilla" will be responsible for your summer."
