Hola 👋 You may know me as the person who makes Bahia Principe Fantasia Videos. It’s kind funny and embarrassing when people stop me in the hotel saying they reconfise me from videks ive made. I habe even had people thank me fof the videos, saying they booked as my videos madd the hotek look good. I’ve always only said good things, because it was the first all inclusive hotel I loved. I’ve actually had people stop me in the hotel asking if the hotel pays me and tells me when to come. I think it’s cause I only said good things, about the hotel.

I used to go to all inclusive hotels years ago and it was the same food, pizza, pasta, burgers, chips. I once went to St Lucia and the day we arrived the only restaurant available was the sea food. I don’t like fish, so it was embarrassing the staff said they got a chef out to speak to me and offered me vegetable rice. I sat with a bowl of rice, while everyone else had a proper meal. My mum booked us to go to Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife, for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. I loved the hotel food and photo spots, at the steps, castle and infinity pool, however I was put facing the kids play area. I accepted it as I heard people who return to hotels get better rooms.

I returned weeks later and got an amazing room and returned again in September, with another amazing room.

It went downhill in December, we were out with a view I didn’t like. I went to reception and asked if they had any rooms I requested and the woman told ne the room I have is a good room. I said I was asking if any rooms I requested are available. I was told to wait till following today. I then got an ema saying my request was available, but you had to exit the room your in before finding out the next room. We went to reception and had to check out 1 room and only to discover it was a tree room, blocking the castle. It wasn’t a castle view room. I went back to reception and we were told to wait another day for another room. We then got a castle view room with broken doors.

I was asked by a newspaper to do an article on the hotel, so I tried doing my best as I loved the hotel before and Cedric and Lissa do try.

We came back to a kids play area facing room. It was a huge disappointment to be facing the kids play area for the 3rd time.

A lot of people say to me the hotel must treat you well if you keep going back. I have also had people tell me returning guests get better rooms. It’s not been the case for me.

* I have had people tell me to book direct and I’d get a better room - this isn’t true as I have always booked direct

* When you arrive back home, you get an email asking if your request was met - the answer is 2 out of 5 visits

I actually felt a lot happier when I went the day trip to Tenerife known I wasn’t dreading a bad room. It’s like spending 5 hours on a flight not known if you’ll get a good or bad room.

If other hotels can prioritise returning guests to room requests - why can’t Bahia principe ? It’s like they have nothing in place for returning guests

They say it’s depending on availability, which am aware of - but it sounds like someone who could be returning for the 100th time could miss out because first time people get their request in first.

The biggest insult was the hotel was moving me about to rooms I didn’t request in December - while they gave someone a good room that was complaining of food etc on social media ( but the hotel would just say they didn’t know the people would complain ) that’s why most hotels prioritise returning guests, than loose returning guests.

I really didn’t want to post this, as I loved Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife - but they really need to sort something than loose out on returning guests.

Part of me doesnt want to return - but I’ll miss Lissa and Cedric

Thank you to the guy that spoke to me in the Sports Bar, saying he wouldn’t have booked if it wasn’t for my videos and many others. He told me I should speak to a manager - but I would never use my videos thinkjng i should get treated better. I just think the hotel should treat returning guests better, like other hotels round the world.
