A lost UNSC ship finds a halo ring in the outskirts of the galaxy, with little resources to go any further they planned to settle down and investigate while they're there. What they found were ancient artifacts of unknown origin and traces of the covenant with weapons scattered about as if they were leaving in a hurry... What was the covenant running away from?

As the UNSC continues investigate one of the artifacts, portals suddenly appeared within the labs of the UNSC bases... what came out was not the covenant nor the flood but monsters beyond their comprehension.

These creatures were far more ruthless and unforgiving than the covenant ever were. They kill, maim, and burn, any human on sight. Those that surrendered were met with a fate worse than death.

Amidst the horror a lone spartan stands against pure evil, will the spartan suffice to stop the demons from rampaging?
