As you near the tree that the specialist mission icon is, you’ll trigger a cutscene for the mission. Essentially what it will be is Jayma almost killing you twice for the hell of it which isn’t cool but we’re going to one-up her in a bit anyways.

We scared a bear off that they were tracking for two days and Takkar will tell Jayma that he will show them how to track it faster. Once the cutscene is over, turn on hunter’s vision and follow the red bearprints.


Eventually you’ll come across some broken beehives and come to believe that the bear was hungry. Continue following the tracks and you’ll come across a dismembered arm. After that, you’ll come across a dead body. Continue following the tracks, swimming through the area up ahead. Don’t try and ride a beast through it if you’ve got one, it will drown for sure. You’ll come across another dead body at the other end of the river.


Once you’re there, just keep following the tracks and you should be at the area where the bear is located. You’ll easily find the bear by just looking for him in hunter’s vision, as he leaves a trail behind him. He’s a simple brown bear so he shouldn’t be too difficult to deal with, just throw spears at his face and he’ll eventually die. Once he’s dead, he towards the area marked on your minimap and you’ll meet up with Jayma one more time. They’ll say how they tired the bear for you so that you could get the kill. Once you’ve done that, the quest will be complete and you will have added Jayma to your village!
