Facial Recognition Camera Alarm Setup

This Viewtron facial recognition camera can trigger alarms when a face is detected by its AI software. Mobile app push notifications, email alerts, and triggering external alarm sensors are a few of the alarm types that can be triggered when a face match occurs using the face database on the NVR.

This video will show you how to setup both face detection and facial recognition on a Viewtron IP camera system. You will also learn how to create a group in the database so that you can assign faces to different groups. This is used to take different type of actions based on the face group.

Face detection refers to when any face is detected by the software. Facial recognition refers to when a detected face is matched against the face database.

Faces can be added to the database using facial images that were captured by the camera / NVR. They can also be added to the database using the mobile app and camera built into the phone.

Please note that Viewtron facial recognition cameras are network IP cameras. They can be connected directly to the PoE ports on Viewtron NVRs using CAT5e or CAT6 network cable.
