"Plascoin, Your currency today for a better tomorrow"

10 Weeks ago, I took part in Study Melbourne's Leadership Labs 4Impact program where students from different universities from VIC worked together as groups towards their project pitch we released this week in the Leadership Labs 4Impact Facebook group   / 236915264073425  .

During this period we chose one from the four selected United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and worked towards a project that would potentially help solve earth's problems and help everyone reach those goals.

Myself and the rest of my team went as Team Turtles 🐢 (Team number 15) and worked towards Goal 14, Life Below Water (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelop..., target 14.1 - Significantly reducing marine pollution.

Our idea was a digital currency/token that can be obtained by handing over plastic waste to tellers and drop off points in exchange💱 for plascoin where users will be able to hold online accounts to track their account balances. Plascoins can be used to perform transactions and help with providing a mean of helping one to even afford products for survival.

This idea is still in the process and we hope to bring it forth to the world to help many nations to clear up their plastic waste, potentially clean up our oceans and work towards achiving the UNSDGs by the year 2050.
