Venkatesh’s collaboration with popular actress Soundarya registered a dream couple of 1990s owing to a strong storylines, awesome onscreen chemistry and brilliant performance of both the actors. Though their first film Super police was a flop, but then came Pavitra bandham which was a sensational hit. Then their success streak followed Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, Pelli chesukundam, Raja, Jayam manadera and Deviputrudu.

Actors Rana Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya and Abhiram are venkatesh’s nephews. Rana Daggubati and Abhiram are sons of Venkatesh’s brother Daggubati Suresh Babu. Naga Chaitanya is son of Venkatesh’s sister Lakshmi (Lakshmi is 1st wife of Nagarjuna Akkineni and Nagarjuna divorced Lakshmi in 1990).
