During hurricane season, residents are inundated with storm prep information, but now local emergency veterinarians are reminding residents to keep their pets in mind as well this hurricane season.

Dr. Alex MacLean, the Medical Director at VEG ER for Pets in Mount Pleasant says, "when you're scrambling is when you forget important things.”

She explains that this is why keeping a go-bag for both you and your pets is crucial during hurricane season, especially if evacuation becomes a possibility.
