Collector's Nightmare: $34k Michael Jordan Rookie Card with Fake Signature? More Potential Fakes?!

Ed had purchased a 1986 Michael Jordan rookie card from PWCC on April 2023. He bought the card through the PWCC auction house along with documentation that showed the card was authentic and certified by a firm called PSA/DNA. It was graded authentic with an autograph grade of 9.

After receiving the card, Ed sent it off to that same grading company (PSA). They later sent him letter, informing him the signature was fake.

The auction house ultimately decided to refund Ed the $34,200 he paid for the card.
