Last month the Sonic writers discussed their affinity for Big the Cat. They stated, we’re both pretty pro-Big the Cat,“At times, Big has had a cameo in basically all of these movies, and then we have to pull him out.”

So a Big the Cat appearance isn't confirmed but it seems like it'll happen sooner rather than later.So of course, the question that stands amongst fans is, who would voice the character? Well, we have a pretty good idea. So today we’re going to be counting down 5 actors to voice big the cat in sonic the hedgehog 3.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a 2022 action-adventure comedy film directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller, and John Whittington, based on the video game franchise published by Sega. The sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog (2020), it stars Ben Schwartz returning as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, with the rest of the cast consisting of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Lee Majdoub, Idris Elba, and Jim Carrey. The film follows Sonic (voiced by Schwartz) and Tails (voiced by O'Shaughnessey) teaming up to find the Master Emerald, before Dr. Eggman (Carrey) and Knuckles (voiced by Elba) do.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is an upcoming live action film based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series and the sequel to the 2022 film, Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It will be the third entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series created by Paramount Pictures, and licensed by Sega. The film will likely feature Shadow the Hedgehog or Project Shadow. Rumored names are also Amy Rose, Rouge the Bat and Big the Cat.

The announcement for the movie was likely a pun on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, as it was announced along with a Knuckles spinoff series, titled Sonic the Series. The Paramount+ Facebook page even responded with a comment about this reference. The US release date for this movie, 20 December, is also the same date that Sonic Adventure 2: Battle was released on in 2001. It is unknown if this is simply a coincidence, or an intentional choice due to the movie drawing elements from said game.
