Ровно, как и раньше,
Сто веков назад,
Северные камни
В тех местах стоят.

Тайные свидетели
Вечной мезлоты.
Тихие хранители
Полной пустоты.

К ледяной поверхности
Ухо приложи.
Дай воспоминаниям
Этих мест ожить.

Звуки лютой древности,
Эхо давних битв...
Отголоски прошлого
Камень тот хранит.


Даже без вопроса
Ясен тут ответ.
Время здесь застыло.
Времени здесь нет.
Прошлое не тлеет
В собственных углях.
Все запечатлелось
В северных камнях.

Проседью сияний
Вычернеет ночь.
Выдует страданья.
День пасмурный прочь.

Только, как и раньше,
Сто веков назад,
Северные камни
В тех местах стоят.

Just like before,
A hundred of centuries ago
The northern stones
Stand here.
Secret witnesses
Of the permafrost.
Silent keepers
Of the emptiness complete.
Put your ear
To the ice-cold surface
Let the memories of those places
Become alive again.
Sounds of the harsh ancient times,
Echoes of the old battles…
Soundscapes of the past
Can be heard from within the stone.

Even without asking
There is an answer.
Time is still here.
Time does not exist here.
The past is not smoldering
In its own embers.
It is all kept
In those northern stones.
The aurora-colored night
Will blacken away.
The gloomy day´s winds
Will blow the sufferings away.
And just like before,
A hundred of centuries ago
The northern stones
Will be standing here.
