June 11th 2022 in the multicolor hive we decided to take an approach to mite control in a natural way. I am not 100% treatment free but I am as chemical free as possible. This means no mite treatments other than drone brood removal, diatomaceous earth in a screened bottom tray, and possibly once a year powdered sugar crop dusting. I don't do mite counts at this time, I however do pay attention to their behavior and what the colony looks like as a whole.

I use my cell phone for video and photos. Iphone 13pro, it does overheat so I will probably soon be moving back to my old trustee Canon Rebel T2i.
