The Uttarakhand based Ghazal and Bhajan singer Anup Jalota was born on 29th July, 1953. He is fondly acclaimed as “Bhajan Samrat” who has a strong background in devotional music and Urdu collection of numerous songs. Surprisingly he currently represents a strong contestant in Bigg Boss season 12 and got fourth best award Padma shri by Govretment Of India in 2012. In a way he has a root background of singing as his father Purshottam Das Jalota and after all his California based brother Ajay Jalota procures too much imperial learning in singing also he has two sisters. Started his first working in AIR, he has extraordinarily became fluent in instruments like Guiter, santoor, Dholak, violinist, sitar, Sarod and many more. Whatever happens in his life but for what he came into limelight while he has closely intimated with Bigg Boss 12 contestant Jasleen Matharu, thirty seven years younger and glamorous to him.
