U.S. Transhumanist Party Chairman Gennady Stolyarov II explains the necessity of the idea of transhumanism and of organized transhumanist politics to provide a way out of humankind’s current set of predicaments and a way forward into a new era where emerging technologies can be harnessed to achieve unprecedented length and quality of life. Mr. Stolyarov discusses the ways in which transhumanism can offer a system of meaning to motivate people in creating a better world, as well as the undertakings of the Transhumanist Party and its non-political affiliate, the Transhuman Club, that provide specific pathways toward that future. Mr. Stolyarov also highlights the importance of African participation in the transhumanist movement and offer additional perspectives that can transform the African continent as well as help the “Global North” escape its current antagonistic rut.
