Come see White-tailed Black Cockatoos with BIRDMAN Dad

The White Tailed Black cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus latirostris) also known locally as the Carnaby's Cockatoo, is the local, WA pin up bird in the prevention of bird extinctions. This short billed white cockatoo lives in southern Western Australia and was facing a steady decline in population, thanks mostly to habitat destruction and other local and introduced species moving into "their turf". The Carnaby, and their even sadder long billed cousin - the Baudin - are facing an uphill survival battle as more and more of their habitat is destroyed in the name of human progress. Their plight has been taken on board by various Government Organisations and not for profit groups and as such this bird has now become the target "saved bird" of Western Australia.
